Making a reservation
Contact us to check availability either by phone e-mail or letter. We will send you a booking form. Your preferred week will be provisionally booked until we receive your deposit.
A deposit of 25% is payable by cheque or credit card at the time of booking. The balance of payment is to be paid eight weeks prior to arrival date. Bookings will be held for ten days pending receipt of deposit and booking form. Failing which, after ten days the provisional booking will be cancelled. On receipt of deposit the booking will be confirmed in writing.
Bookings within eight weeks of arrival date are payable in full. Bookings made within fourteen days of arrival are payable in full by credit card over the phone.
Arrivals and departures
The house will be ready for you from 4 pm, and the property must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure. Please make your way to number 3 Dieracleit which is located 40 metres beyond the cottage where you will be welcomed and taken to the cottage. Any arrivals after 5 pm should be notified in advance.
- towels and bath robes;
- mid week clean if requested;
- telephone calls up to £15 per week;
- welcome pack;
- free access to Harris Golf Club;
- Satellite TV including sports channels;
- free broadband internet access.
The house should be left clean and tidy on departure and any damages must be reported prior to departure. Property left in a dirty or inappropriate manner may result in additional cleaning surcharge.
No pets are allowed in the cottage with the exception of guide dogs if necessary.
No smoking is allowed inside the cottage.
All damages and losses will be charged in full.
The occupancy should not exceed the number stated on the booking form.
Vehicles/ Personal Property
Clients are recommended to take out holiday insurance to cover loss or damage to personal effects as well as cancellation and curtailment insurance. Vehicles, accessories and contents are left at their owners risk. The proprietors will not be responsible for any loss or damage or any injury to persons not caused through the fault of the proprietor.
To minimise the cost and inconvenience of cancelled bookings we would strongly advise you to take out holiday insurance. You may have to forfeit the full cost of your holiday.
Restriction on rental
We reserve the right to remove person or persons from the property due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to the property or exceeding the stated occupancy. In this case refund will be at the discretion of the owners.
Adverse travel conditions.
Where there are ferry/plane disruptions due to bad weather conditions or any form of industrial action the proprietors can not be held responsible for non arrival at the cottage and no refunds will be given.
If you are required to cancel a reservation for any reason we must be notified by telephone immediately and cancellation must be confirmed in writing within 5 days. In the event of a cancellation we will make every effort to re let the property and you will be reimbursed 75% of the cost if we re-let the property to another party. If we are unable to re-let, cancellation costs will be made as follows:
- More than 8 weeks before booking commences your deposit will be forfeited.
- Less than 8 weeks you will be liable to pay the full rental.
However we strongly advise that you take out insurance cover.
Each booking is made in good faith with the belief that the cottage will be available to the client on the date stated on the booking form. If for any reason due to circumstances out-with our control, the cottage is not available, we are unable to guarantee provision of alternative accommodation. In the event of this happening the deposit and balance will be refunded in full. The client will have no further claim against the proprietor.
To improve the facilities within the cottage the proprietors reserve the right to alter or amend the facilities made available at the cottage.
